ERNE AG Holzbau has doubled its office workstations at the Stein (AG) site, using innovative constructions and materials.

The new office complex continues the logic of the existing building and creates a vertical connection to the 'marketplace' on the first floor through a central atrium staircase and connecting bridges. This space enables collaborative working and is also suitable for events.
ERNE used the project as an opportunity to further develop proven constructions and test new prototype components. The combination of timber-concrete composite slabs and rammed earth cores forms the flexible structure of the new building. The timber-concrete composite load-bearing system has already been used in Switzerland's first timber high-rise ensemble, Suurstoffi 22 in Rotkreuz.
This project sets new standards in the construction industry and shows that innovative and sustainable solutions make economic and ecological sense.
